Rina Myburgh

Rina Myburgh holds an M.Sc Degree in Environmental Science from the North West University: Potchefstroom Campus. Her expertise includes Water Management, Radiation Protection and Environmental Impact Assessments.

She started her profession as a Water Manager in 2001, specializing in the Minerals and Mining Industry. Mrs. Myburgh gained extensive knowledge and experience in Environmental Legal Requirements; Water Management Practices; Catchment Strategies and Environmental Auditing. In the course of her employment at Malepa Holdings she has widened her knowledge in Radiation Protection.

John Tali

John Tali has worked for more than 5 years as Radiation Protection Monitor (RPM) and Barkley Nuclear Services. John has achieved a Chamber of Mines Certificate in monitoring and surveillance. Since joining Malepa in 2005 John has contributed to the establishment and maintenance of radiologically safe workplaces and environments by ensuring that:

  • Hazards in monitoring areas are identified accurately
  • Monitoring areas are mapped according to specified operational procedures
  • Locations/points selected for surveying meets specified requirements for monitoring
